What is learning-lincs?

learning-lincs provides a teaching and learning environment in which teachers and students are able to share and compare activities based around a common theme. The online thematic project activities are designed to integrate and enhance existing curriculum planning. Each project provides teachers with weekly tasks for their students to work on. At the end of the week the work is published to the project web site for reflection by others. Subscribers are provided with the online tools and resources to support this work.

These include:

  • Project Guides
  • Text, data and image publishers
  • Curriculum Extension Activity Guides
  • Data collection sheets
  • Project based worksheets
  • Project based website links
Project Planner

Use the Project Planner to plan your sequence of online projects. Some projects are ongoing and can be joined at any time. Others are planned to set dates to enable immediate comparison of participating students’ collected data.

Project Resources

Each project is supported with a Project Guide. This gives clear guidance for each step of the project. Additional files, program templates, web links and extension activities, which extend the project across a range of curriculum areas, are provided to subscribers only.

Project Publisher

The project publisher is the online tool used to present the students’ work. A template is provided for each week of the project on which students enter, edit and refine their work. Once complete, the work is displayed to a wider audience using the password protected publishing tool.
