Week 2:
The purpose of this week is for each group of students to establish the materials that have been used to construct their homes. By conducting surveys of what materials have been used to construct the walls of their home, the roof of their home, and the type of windows they have in their home the students will collect, record and analyse numerical data. The students write a review of the collected data giving them the opportunity to write in a style that is appropriate to the task sharing information. The students use the data submitted in week 1 to compare type and style of their home with the homes of other students around the world. The students use the descriptive text accounts to find information about other participating groups of students. |
