Overview:
The purpose of this week is for each group of students to observe and record the growth of their bean plant and to identify the different kinds of plants and animals in the local environment. By conducting surveys students identify similarities and differences between local environments and the ways in which these affect the animals and plants that are found there. The students will collect, record and analyse numerical data. The students write a review of the collected data giving them the opportunity to write in a style that is appropriate to the task sharing information. The students use the data submitted in week 1 to compare their pets with other students around the world. |
